Roderick Dobson in Birds of the Channel Islands (1952) wrote “An occasional wanderer to the Channel Islands. It is generally recognised by ornithologists that the breeding range of the Fulmar is spreading southward very gradually. I prophesy that the next generation will see a few pairs breeding in the Islands.”
