We'll be in Room 4 at Grève de Lecq Barracks between 10am and 4pm this Saturday 10th September, taking part in the National Trust for Jersey's 'Open Day' and explaining what we have planned for 2012. Come and see us for a chat and a cup of tea at any time.

Also, big news in UK marine conservation circles this morning:

Protection for key nature sites in UK seas has come a step closer with the unveiling of proposals to create over 100 Marine Conservation Zones (MCZs).

Our French friends are driving hard too:

Colloque scientifique 2011 du golfe normand-breton: “Biodiversité, écosystèmes et usages du milieu marin : quelles connaissances pour une gestion intégrée du golfe normand-breton ?” Les 2 et 3 novembre 2011 au Palais du grand large de Saint Malo

Seasonal forecast from theweatheroutlook.com

Autumn 2011: Very mixed

The forecast headline is for a mixed and at times stormy autumn, but possibly with a wintry sting in its tail during November. Before then October may bring a spell of fine and relatively warm weather.
